I’m Ready to Stand Up for Minnesotans With Integrity.
As your next state senator, I will fight for the values that make Minnesota strong. Every family deserves dignity, opportunity, and a fair shot. That starts with a government that listens to the people and puts their needs first.
Protecting Civil Rights and Personal Freedoms
As a civil rights attorney, I have spent my career standing up for people whose rights were violated or ignored. I will bring that same determination to the State Capitol.
I will work to protect and expand:
Reproductive freedom
LGBTQ+ rights
Voting rights and fair elections
Equal treatment under the law
Our state must remain a place where everyone feels respected, protected, and free especially in the face of the attacks coming from the federal administration and beyond.
Strengthening Public Education
Every child deserves a strong start and a clear path to a bright future. I believe in a true cradle-to-career approach that supports students at every stage of their learning and growth.
I will champion:
Fully funded public schools
Support for educators and staff
Access to early childhood and Pre-K programs
Strong K-12 opportunities in the arts, music, STEM, sports, trades, and more
Affordable pathways to higher education, apprenticeships, and workforce training
Public education lifted me and my family, and it must lift every Minnesota student from early learning through the careers they choose.
Expanding Access to Quality, Affordable Health Care
Every Minnesotan deserves access to quality health care they can afford. No one should have to choose between paying rent, buying groceries, or getting the care they need. We can and must do better.
I will work to:
Expand access to affordable, comprehensive health care for every Minnesotan
Strengthen mental health and addiction services so families can get timely, compassionate support
Support caregivers, seniors, and families who shoulder the burden of rising medical costs
Protect older adults from financial hardship and ensure they can age with dignity
Improve access to preventive care and community-based services that keep families healthy
Health care should lift people up, not push them into debt. Every Minnesotan deserves the peace of mind that comes with knowing care will be there when they need it.
Supporting Workers and Small Businesses
Our economy works best when the people who power it are respected, protected, and paid fairly. Right now, that’s not happening as to should thanks to the oligarchs and billionaires who are controlling Washington. As a civil rights and employment attorney, I have spent my career standing with workers, and I will bring that same commitment to the State Senate.
I will champion policies that:
Strengthen worker protections and defend the right to organize
Support unions and collective bargaining as the essential path to a strong middle class they are
Expand access to good-paying, family-supporting jobs
Grow apprenticeships, skilled trades programs, and workforce training
Encourage local economic development that benefits workers and small businesses
When workers, unions, and small businesses thrive, our whole community thrives and Minnesota’s economy becomes stronger, fairer, and more secure.
Building Safe, Healthy Communities
Every person deserves to feel safe where they live, learn, work, and raise a family. Safety is a shared responsibility, and it requires leadership that uses the full strength of Minnesota laws and constitution to protect our neighbors from harmful attacks by the current administration. It also requires leaders who take prevention seriously and invest in the well-being of all our communities.
I will:
Advocate for common-sense gun safety standards that protect our kids and our neighborhoods
Continue my work as a carbon monoxide safety advocate to prevent avoidable tragedies
Support innovative public safety efforts that build community trust with proven, prevention-focused strategies
Protect our neighbors from attacks and policies coming from the federal administration
Safeguard clean air, clean water, and our natural resources for future generations
Everyone should feel secure in their home and community, and we must do everything we can to prevent harm before it happens.
Putting People Over Politics
Minnesotans deserve leaders who show up, listen, and get things done. That means putting people ahead of politics and focusing on real solutions, not the status quo, gridlock, or endless ideological battles.
I will work to ensure:
Bills are heard and debated on their merits
Decisions are transparent and accountable
The voices and experiences of our communities guide the work
Collaboration happens wherever possible
Leaders lead by example, build strong relationships, and follow through
We share a common future, and our leadership should reflect that. I am committed to working with integrity, openness, and respect to deliver results for District 44.
